May honey

Maysky is the first pitch honey – the very first honey of the year. But it is called that not by the time of the pitching (which does not take place earlier than mid-June), but because the nectar for May honey is collected by bees from the first flowers of herbs and trees, which have absorbed all the unspent power of awakening nature.

It is in May that the bees are already working with all their might, collecting the nectar of the earliest honey plants. May honey can be mountain, field or meadow – the place does not matter, but the time of collection (a few weeks of May – early June) is truly invaluable for ensuring the quality and healing properties of May honey.

May honey from Altai is especially appreciated. It is considered the most useful because it is harvested during the period of simultaneous flowering of most honey plants, which are rare even for the protected areas of Altai.

May honey has a high fructose content. It is easily absorbed by the human body, and, unlike ordinary sugar, practically does not require insulin, which carefully preserves the functions of the pancreas – this is important not only in diabetes, but also for perfectly healthy people. It does not cause allergies, it is also believed that May honey has a pronounced antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory effect. Its delicate consistency allows it to be used in solution with water to treat eye diseases.
