The Volga region is the golden land of Russia. Summers are warm here, average temperatures are kept at 20-25 degrees. Due to the rich water resources in the river valleys, the air here is kept humid most of the time and promotes good nectar production in flowers. The most favorable for beekeeping is the forest-steppe belt, where the meadows are protected by thickets from the plain winds.
A huge number of known vascular plants grow on the steppes of the Volga region, most of which are valuable melliferous plants. In addition, there are large agricultural lands sown with cultural melliferous plants: buckwheat, sunflower, rapeseed. Such a variety of flora actively affects the honey harvest – a huge amount of honey of a wide variety of varieties, tastes and aromas is collected here.
