Mead

Mead

To prepare mead you will need: 2 liters of water, 300 g of honey (please note that the quality of mead strongly depends on the quality of honey),
10 g hop cones (sold in pharmacies), 3 g yeast.
Boil water until bubbles appear. Pour in or mix (depending on the density) honey. Stir continuously and remove the foam. As soon as foaming ends, remove the pan from the stove. Let it cool down to 40 degrees, add yeast prepared in a separate bowl (first dilute with warm water and a little honey so that they “fit”). We put it in a dark and warm corner for fermentation – we close it with a lid with a hole, from which it is better to remove the tube and lower it into a container of water. On about the fifth day, the bubbles stop coming out of the tube – the fermentation process ends. We pour it into plastic bottles, leaving room for further fermentation. We put it in a dark place for another five days. Done!
