Christ’s Sunday is the day when the whole family gets together to celebrate this bright holiday. Dishes for the Easter table should be light enough, because Lent is behind us. It’s good if they contain natural honey – then the food will come out nutritious and healthy.

Cooking Easter cake

Easter cake is a mandatory attribute. There are many recipes that make it easy to make Easter cake with unusual flavors such as honey and nutmeg. For him you will need:

  • 2 tbsp. l. honey;
  • 100-120 ml. water;
  • a handful of raisins;
  • a bag of dry yeast;
  • 1 egg;
  • 50 g each sugar and butter;
  • nutmeg, cinnamon – to taste;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • 1.5 stack. flour.

First, a dough is prepared: the yeast is diluted with water and 100 g of flour is added. The dough should fit, for this, the bowl with it is hermetically wrapped and placed in a warm place until it doubles. Meanwhile, the honey is diluted with 50 ml. water, add spices and put in a water bath for 10 minutes, then allow to cool. Separately mix soft butter, sugar, salt and egg, mix well (you can beat with a mixer). The butter-egg mixture is added to the dough that has come up along with 200 g of flour and, after kneading, it is left to come up for another half hour. Then add well-washed raisins and honey with spices. It is better to bake cakes in paper tins, pre-oiled. Exactly half of the dough is poured into them – it increases greatly when baking. Bake at 180 ° C for 20-25 minutes. The finished cake is decorated with glaze and special sprinkles.

Curd Easter

An easy version of Easter is cottage cheese with honey. This delicate and delicious dish does not even need to be baked. To prepare it, you need:

  • 4 tbsp. l. honey;
  • yolks of 4 eggs;
  • 100 g sour cream and butter;
  • a pound of low-fat cottage cheese;
  • raisins, candied fruits (optional).

Mix butter with yolks, add honey, beat until smooth. Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve, pour in the honey-egg mixture, sour cream, mix everything, add raisins. Put Easter in a mold and put it in the cold for several hours to freeze.

Cheese snack with honey

Natural honey is already an excellent addition to the Easter table. An interesting appetizer will come out of cheese and honey – just place small containers of bee product as an addition to the cheese plate. You can try both mozzarella or brie and feta cheese with honey. Add liquid honey to roasted walnuts and pour the pears into halves with this mixture – your loved ones will appreciate such a dessert!
