HONEY AGAINST SUN

HONEY AGAINST SUN

What could be better than lying on the beach, exposing your body to the gentle summer sun? However, the passion for tanning is fraught with danger. Direct sunlight can cause burns and sunburn. People with pale skin are more susceptible to them, but no one is immune from sunburn. Being sunburned is not only unpleasant and painful – it can lead to serious health problems, and the skin is likely to leave rough scars. To avoid this, give yourself first aid as soon as possible – but do not rush to get special means, because natural honey will perfectly cope with sunburn. It turns out that its beneficial properties are much more effective than many drugs.

Honey is an excellent natural antibiotic and antiseptic, it relieves pain, promotes rapid healing of the burn and prevents it from festering. If the burn is not severe, it is enough to constantly lubricate the affected areas with honey. Deep burns are treated with honey bandages and compresses. Under such a bandage, the burn remains moist, this helps it to heal faster without compromising the appearance of the skin and prevents the penetration of pathogenic bacteria. In addition, the honey bandage does not stop the flow of lymph and does not dry on the skin – it can be removed without any problems.

In order not to treat burns, it is easier to avoid them. To do this, you need to use special protective equipment and do not sunbathe during the hours of greatest solar activity. And to get an even, beautiful tan, you can use home remedies. For example, prepare a mixture of natural butter and honey. It effectively nourishes and moisturizes the skin, promotes better fixation and even tan color. Olive oil is best, but if you don’t have it, you can use flaxseed or even vegetable oil, and if you wish, add a drop of your favorite essential oil. The product is applied directly to the beach, before tanning, and then washed off with water. You can also use it after you have already taken a sun bath. It is best to apply it after a shower, but unlike scrubs, the skin does not need to be cleansed first.

Even if you are not sunburned, after sunburn, slight swelling, redness and irritation of the skin may appear; honey in combination with oil will help restore blood circulation, effectively nourish and disinfect the skin surface. Only high-quality honey will be effective, and as for the consistency of the product, it is better to take liquid honey – it is applied faster and more evenly.
