Altai honey

It is customary to call Altai honey different varieties of sweet treats collected by bees on the territory of the entire Altai Territory. All this vast area is characterized by an amazing variety of landscapes, and at the same time, complete harmony reigns here: endless plains perfectly “coexist” with high mountains, and huge arable fields hide behind the horizon, walking hand in hand with the impenetrable taiga.
Delicious and aromatic Altai honey is collected from more than 500 species of plants. The local region is famous for its rich melliferous plants – buckwheat, sunflower, sweet clover, acacia, angelica and others. By the way, bees not only collect a huge amount of sweet treats, but also contribute to good yields by pollinating the flowers of numerous crops.

Altai honey is represented by a huge number of varieties, the most valuable of which is buckwheat. By the way, some varieties are collected from the pollen of several plant species – they are called polyfloral. These include the famous mountain honey, taiga and floral honey.

The unique mountain honey with a rich aroma and taste with a barely noticeable peppercorn has no analogues. It is an excellent tonic and restorative remedy, which is often used as a sedative for insomnia, fatigue and headaches.

An important feature of honey collected in Altai is that many apiaries are located far from settlements, in corners untouched by civilization.
