From July 1, 2018, a unified certification system “Mercury” began to work, the use of which becomes mandatory for all business entities, logistics companies, manufacturers and sellers of products of plant and animal origin. In general, the introduction of this system allows the Rosselkhoznadzor to track the full cycle of processing of raw materials under the supervision of veterinary control from the farm to the store shelf.

Mercury is intended for accounting of products subject to veterinary control. One of the goals of creating the system is to provide transparency in the sale of this product and the ability to trace its movement from the manufacturer to the retailer. Designed for electronic certification of goods supervised by the State Veterinary Inspectorate, tracking the path of their movement across the territory of the Russian Federation in order to create a unified information environment for veterinary medicine, improve biological and food safety.

We will tell you how Mercury works and how “Berestov A.S. Private apiaries “is being certified according to the new rules.

What is the FSIS system Mercury?

This is a federal state information system. Registration in the system is compulsory for beekeepers and all sellers who sell honey and beekeeping products VSD (electronic veterinary accompanying documents). Beekeepers selling honey and wax by retail or wholesale are also required to register with Mercury.

Honey from private apiaries Berestov A.S. is certified according to the Mercury system, so you can be sure of the quality of the product. Upon request, we are ready to provide documents on product certification. Electronic document flow is used to process transactions through the Mercury system.

How is electronic honey certification carried out?

Certification is a procedure that confirms the conformity of a product to established standards. Honey certification is regulated by the following documents

• The quality of natural honey is determined in accordance with GOST No. 19792-2017 and No. 31766-2012.

• The procedure for certification of livestock products (including honey) is regulated by the Law on Veterinary Medicine.

For registration of VSD, we take honey for veterinary and sanitary examination. Certification of honey and beekeeping products is carried out in the direction of the veterinary service.

The analysis determines the chemical composition of honey, the presence of antibiotics and other substances in the composition. Based on the analysis results, the compliance of our honey with GOST is confirmed, and the veterinarian draws up a veterinary certificate in form 2. The document is issued in electronic form and transferred to the FSIS “Mercury” database.

By purchasing honey of the brand “Berestov A.S. Private apiaries “, you can be sure of the quality of the goods. The composition of our products fully complies with the established standards, which has been confirmed by numerous tests.

FSIS “Mercury” is one of the subsystems of the Federal State Information System in the field of veterinary medicine Vetis. Mercury is intended for accounting of products subject to veterinary control. One of the goals of creating the system is to provide transparency in the sale of this product and the ability to trace its movement from the manufacturer to the retailer.

According to the controllers, such a unified system of electronic veterinary accompanying documents (VVD) will improve biological and food safety.

In fact, now agricultural producers, including beekeepers, must register in this system in order to have a mandatory electronic identification number for each batch of products (honey, bee bread, etc.) so that it can be traced to every stage, from production to consumer purchase.

Thanks to “Mercury”, the country’s government intends to reduce the level of substandard products and counterfeit products on the food market.
