Shelabolikhinsky district
Shelabolikhinsky District is a sparsely populated area in the northern part of Altai. Most of the valley and floodplain of the Ob River are located in the Shelabolikh District. The right bank of the Ob River is characterized by a special landscape of river terraces dominated by berry bushes and primroses. In spring, the floodplain blooms. In the highest parts of the floodplain, the forest anemone, the narrow iris and Veronica Krylova bloom. It is a magnificent sight to see the blooming Siberian iris (Siberian iris), whose bright blue and bluish-blue flowers rise above the water surface of the flooded floodplain meadow. This plant has practically disappeared from the Ob floodplain in the vicinity of Barnaul. At the end of summer, the gentian is an adornment of the forbs flooded meadows. Willow and poplar forests stretch along the banks of the river and the channel.
