
Orenburg region
The Orenburg region is a warm, fertile land, where fields of crops are painted with bright colors, which are interspersed with deciduous forests and flooded meadows. Particularly favorable conditions for beekeeping have formed in the Orenburg Reserve. The flora of the reserve is especially rich – it is almost 1300 vascular plants. The valleys and steppes of the reserve are replete with shrubs and valuable melliferous plants: buckwheat, sweet clover, sunflower, sow thistle, linden, six-petalled meadowsweet, Romanian alfalfa, steppe sage, crenate spirea, caragana, scabiosa.
