Absheron district
One of the most picturesque places in the Kuban is the Absheron District. Beech, oak, hornbeam, ash, maple, pine, sycamore, elm, aspen, birch, fir, yew, willow, pear, apple, cherry plum, dogwood, viburnum, mountain ash, wild cherry and even poplars and many other types of trees grow in this rich land. Absheron region is rich in various unique natural landscapes – foothills, gorges, waterfalls, springs, lakes and caves.
The richness of melliferous plants amazes the imagination: strawberries, blackberries, rhododendron, St. John’s wort, wild sage, immortelle, feather grass, mint grass, fine-legged fescue, sweet clover, timothy and clover.
